GENERALATE

The SHM Generalate is located at Andheri West, Mumbai and is the administrative office of SHM. The various activities of the Provinces, Regions and Overseas missions are coordinated from here. It is also the residence of the President and the Council, the General Secretary, the General Bursar, Sister in charge of the house, and others the General Council feels necessary.

The head quarters (Generalate) of the Society of the Helpers of Mary is situated at Andheri West, Mumbai, India. It is an important office of the Society. The office of the Superior General (the President) of the Society, the Councilors, the Economer and the General Secretary live here. The coordination of various activities of the Provinces, Regions and Overseas missions are carried out from here.

GENERAL ADMINISTRATION

​The General Government is the highest bond of unity of the Institute, taking into consideration both levels, namely, the spirit and the rules of the Institute. 
The government of the Institute is guided at various levels by appropriate authorities, that is to say, by Chapters and by the President with the Council. This exercise is carried out in a spirit of service and collegiality, in order to help the members in rendering their service to humanity. The President shares her responsibilities with the councillors.

The organization of SHM is structured as follows:

• Generalate (President, Council, General administration)

• Province (Provincial superior, Council, Provincial administration)

• Region (Regional superior, Council and Regional administration)

• Country Coordinator

• Local Community (residences and humanitarian works under the jurisdiction of the province/region)
