ANN MARIA - NAKURU

This centre is situated 180 km from city of Nairobi and this place is called Rift Valley. 7th August 2008 was a great day in the history of Helpers of Mary as they put their feet in the land of Kenya to render service to the poor and needy. Helpers of Mary were invited by Rt. Rev. Peter Kairo. In 2010 the centre had full-fledged building to run its activities.

ACTIVITIES

ORPHANAGE HOME

This home is for the orphan children, abandoned babies in the hospital and in the street, children who are in crises. Besides the care children are sent to get trained outside the home such as teacher’s training, social work, mechanic, aviation etc. and in higher secondary school.

SOCIAL

Woman Promotion - they do table banking, kitchen garden, netting the wool-saving and loaning etc.

BARTHOLOMEAUS PROJECT

Directed by Fr. Ernst Pulsfort distributed water tanks to harvest rain water for their daily use, Helping the needy children for education around the villages, supporting HIV affected parents and children, single parent’s children and poor and needy children.
