SOCIETY OF THE HELPERS OF MARY
NIRMALAYA
This centre was started on 24 June 2014 at the request of Archbishop Albert D’Souza. The house, given by the archbishop, was located in the village of Kaulakha, Agra. The objective was to enrich the lives of the poor who were mainly engaged in shoe-making and rag picking.

The sisters teach in the school, and conduct remedial classes for dropouts. They organise the women and youth into self-help groups to improve their living conditions. In a short time there has been marked improvement in the lives of the villagers and most of the children have returned to regular school.
