ANUGRAHA

Anugraha was established 4 July 1992, on the nineteenth death anniversary of Mother Anna Huberta and the golden jubilee year of our congregation.

The sisters resided in the old house of the parish where they began a home for underprivileged children. Initially, for five years, the sisters undertook education of the girls, until the new house was built for the children and sisters.

The village of Gundibala is situated 15km from the town of Honavar and 3km from the Honavar-Bangalore highway. It is a beautiful valley surrounded by hills and forest land with a branch of Sharavati river tributary running through. The main occupation of the villagers is fishing and wood-cutting.

It is a residential home for children located in Gundibala village; its facilities provide resources for development of economically poor and school dropout girls, mainly from the district of Karwar, who have no access to high school education. The sisters also engage in socio-economic work such as livelihood programs for underprivileged women and sponsorships for poor students.
